Install and sign in
- Download the extension from the download page.
- Create or sign in to your Beat the Spin account before starting a paid checkout.
- Stay signed in to the sites you want to track inside your normal Chrome profile — the extension reads only the visible reset timer, it does not handle any logins.
Billing and subscriptions
- Paid checkout redirects through Stripe from the pricing page after account sign-in.
- Subscription state is managed from your account page and backend billing routes.
- Questions about billing or refunds can be sent to support@beatthespin.com.
Support channels
- Email: support@beatthespin.com
- Privacy questions: see the privacy policy for data handling details.
- Account and billing actions: use the account portal first, then contact support if blocked.
Common issues
- If checkout does not start, sign in on the account page first and retry from pricing.
- If the extension is installed but sites are not detected, open the dashboard and confirm each site you want to track is enabled — Chrome will prompt you to grant access to that one domain.
- If a site needs extra verification or a re-login, the extension stops and asks you to handle it manually. It never logs in on your behalf.
- If history or subscription state looks stale, refresh the account page after signing in again.
Beat the Spin reads only the visible reset timer and balance figure on sites you explicitly enable. It never logs you in, submits forms, or performs any action on a site on your behalf.
How permissions work
- Nothing at install time. Installing the extension grants it zero access to any of the sites it can track.
- One site at a time. When you click "Enable" on a site in the dashboard, Chrome shows its standard permission prompt for that one domain. Only after you approve does the extension start reading that site's timer.
- Revoked on disable. Clicking "Disable" in the dashboard revokes Chrome's permission for that site immediately.
- No remote code. All JavaScript the extension runs is bundled inside the extension package. The only file fetched from our servers is a JSON configuration file containing CSS selectors and timer patterns — data, not executable code.
Before opening a support request
- Confirm you are signed in on the account page.
- Confirm you are using the latest extension version from the download page.
- Note the site name, whether you were logged in, and what action failed.
- Include screenshots only if they do not expose sensitive personal or payment data.
